The Russian army fired a missile at the center of Odessa on the morning of November 25.
There are casualties and damage to residential buildings, said Oleg Kiper, head of the OVA.
According to preliminary information from the speaker of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army “South” Sergei Bratchuk, the enemy used an Iskander-M ballistic missile.
Six people are known to be wounded as of 12.00, said First Deputy Chairman of the Odessa Police Department Alexander Kharlov.
There are dense residential buildings around, there is a dental clinic, a pharmacy, there are no hints that there are military or any other targets of interest to the enemy here. “I believe that, perhaps, the main goal of the enemy is to intimidate the civilian population of the Odessa region,” he noted.
Residential buildings, two educational institutions – a school and a university gym – were damaged, windows and doors were blown out, Kharlov noted.
Fortunately, none of the schoolchildren and teachers were injured; everyone responded to the air raid signal and descended to a safe place,” Kharlov commented.
