Russia’s use of a medium-range ballistic missile is typical blackmail. Putin is trying to scare everyone who supports Ukraine, the Foreign Minister emphasized.
Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga stressed that Ukraine’s partners should respond to Russian blackmail by transferring air defense systems to the country capable of shooting down medium-range ballistic missiles of the Oreshnik type . He announced this on Sunday, November 24.
“Russia’s use of a medium-range ballistic missile is its usual blackmail that Putin is trying to intimidate everyone who supports Ukraine,” the head of the department said.
He added that Ukraine’s partners should do the opposite: reject blackmail, increase support and strengthen Ukraine’s air shield with systems capable of intercepting missiles.
Let’s recall that on November 21, Russian troops struck the territory of Ukraine for the first time with an Oreshnik ballistic missile. This is what Russian leader Vladimir Putin said in his speech to the Russian people.
In this regard, President Vladimir Zelensky confirmed that Russia used a new weapon – all its characteristics indicate that it is an intercontinental ballistic missile.
A video of a powerful missile attack on the Dnieper also appeared online.
