Russian military factories are now producing “hundreds a week” of Shahed-type attack drones.
The Russians are trying to use artificial intelligence in Shahed kamikaze drones. The Guardian newspaper announced this on Sunday, November 24, citing Ukrainian military sources.
According to the publication, the invaders are using AI to create “swarms of drones.”
“It is planned that thanks to this technology, drones will communicate and coordinate attacks in such a way as to overcome air defense. At the same time, it is not clear how effective this technology will be,” the media said.
The publication added that Ukrainian specialists are also trying to develop cheap FPV drones costing less than $1,000 capable of shooting down Russian drones. However, this task is complicated by the fact that the turbulent air flow created by the drone has a significant effect on piloting the smaller FPV drone.
As we have already written, demonstration tests of new Ukrainian developments – swarms of drones and guided munitions – were recently conducted in Ukraine with the participation of military officials and officers.
The drones were contracted for about 150 billion for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
