Four Uhilyants paid 400 thousand hryvnia for a rubber boat to cross the Tisa.
The violators paid 10 thousand dollars. the organizer for the “safe route” was informed on November 23 by the State Border Service of Ukraine.
However, the organizers of the illegal border crossing did not provide guarantees for survival in cold water with fast currents.
Three residents of Donbass and one from the Ivano-Frankivsk region agreed to such risky conditions. Three of them even managed to pay the organizers 10 thousand US dollars each.
Having received a rubber boat and directions for the route, the men set off to the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.
However, their plans were ruined by the border guards. Noticing the outfit, the offenders left the boat and tried to escape. To stop the fugitives, the border guards fired several warning shots upward.
