Units of the presidential brigade stopped the Russian assault on the Vremiv direction in the Donetsk region.
Preparations to repel the assault began after aerial reconnaissance detected advancing Russian units carrying out the attack in armored vehicles with homemade anti-drone protection installed.
Their movement took place near the village of Velyka Novoselka, where the Russians have recently been constantly carrying out assault operations in the hope of breaking through the defenses of the Ukrainian defenders.
This assault was no exception. The Russians launched an attack on the positions of the defenders in two directions, where the 3rd mechanized battalion and the 20th separate special forces battalion of the presidential brigade held the defense.
The main losses to enemy assault groups were inflicted by the Khimera, Bulava and NOVA UAV strike units.
Thanks to the active work of external crews, enemy equipment was burned or abandoned.
Due to the chaotic nature of the actions, the remnants of the Russian infantry began to flee to the nearest forest belts, where mortars and drones began to fire at them.
A novelty in clearing the forest belt was a drone with a mounted machine gun, which finished off Russian infantry from the air. The drone flew over the forest belt and fired at the remnants of the Russians trying to escape.
Its development was carried out by specialists from the Bulava unit, which was actively used against the enemy.
