A volcanic eruption began on the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland, south of the capital Reykjavik. This was reported by the RUV television and radio company on Thursday, November 21.
In the late evening of November 20, strong tremors began on the peninsula, after which the volcano began to erupt at 23:14. It was noted that there was no direct risk to the surrounding infrastructure.
