Defense Ministers of Ukraine and Denmark Rustem Umerov and Troels Lund Poulsen discussed further cooperation for 2025, especially increasing the amount of military support to 2.2 billion euros. The head of the Ministry of Defense announced this on Facebook on Wednesday, November 20.
The parties devoted special attention to common projects in the defense industry.
“Ukraine continues to demonstrate the effectiveness of its own developments, especially its missile program, such as Neptune and attack drones, which allow precision attacks of thousands of kilometers to deep into enemy territory,” the minister said.
According to Umerov, the main area of negotiation is a new investment initiative – the Danish Model 2.0. This format involves mutually beneficial cooperation, which includes investments in Ukrainian defense and technology companies, acceleration of arms supplies, and Denmark’s access to modern technologies.
“This initiative has proven its effectiveness, and we have agreed to continue Denmark’s leadership in this matter as an example for other countries’ Defense Forces and supporting our common goals,” he said. who heads the Ministry of Defense.
We remind you that the previous day, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced a new military aid package for Ukraine.
Denmark has already transferred six F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. In total, Ukraine should receive 19 aircraft.
