A man has been jailed in Ljubljana, Slovenia, for shouting pro-Russian slogans during a visit by Ukraine’s First Lady.
In the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, an incident occurred during the visit of the First Lady of Ukraine, Elena Zelenskaya, after which the police detained a man. This was reported by 24ur.com.
During the visit, the First Lady of Ukraine visited the National and University Library in Ljubljana, where she presented books by Ukrainian authors.
A protester appeared in front of the building and shouted in English: “The war must be won.” The police detained and searched the man.
“At the scene, the police identified the man. The incident did not threaten anyone. The police were informed about the protest and took some operational measures related to it,” said the Ljubljana Police Department.
Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob expressed regret over the incident. According to him, this is unacceptable behavior that “should have no place in our society.”
We remind you that on July 18, Ukraine and Slovenia signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of security and long-term support between the countries.
