Blackouts in Ukraine return from Monday, November 18.
Tomorrow all regions will be forced to apply measures to limit consumption. From 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., two shutdown lines will be in effect simultaneously. Ukrenergo announced this on Facebook on November 17.
It is noted that the reason for the temporary return of restrictions is damage to energy facilities during a massive missile and drone attack.
Ukrenergo added that Ukrainians should find out the shutdown schedule on the websites and official pages of regional energy companies. Energy workers were also urged not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time.
Let us recall that on November 17, the Russian Federation launched a massive combined missile strike on Ukraine. The enemy attacked energy facilities and infrastructure in Nikolaev, Zaporozhye, Odessa, Volyn, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnitsa, and Poltava regions.
The attack was also aimed at substations on which the reliable operation of the Khmelnitsky, Rivne and South Ukrainian nuclear power plants depends. As a result of the shutdown of lines at four substations, only two of the nine operating reactors of the nuclear power plant are operating at 100% capacity, another six have reduced production to the level of 40-90%.
