The Russian army has stepped up its attack on Kupyansk, Kharkov region.
The invaders are trying to enter the city from the northeast. South of the city, Russian troops have already reached the Oskol River, severing Ukrainian logistics lines on the eastern bank. At the same time, the enemy grouping south of Kupyansk is gradually expanding. This is stated in the construction of the UK Ministry of Defense on November 17.
Russian troops have increased offensive pressure on the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkov region in northeastern Ukraine. On November 13, 2024, Russian troops likely attempted to enter Kupyansk from the northeast, the report said.
British intelligence noted that Kupyansk is important because it is a transport crossroads and a logistics center. After a full-scale invasion, the city was occupied by Russia, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces regained control of Kupyansk in September 2022.
Let us remind you that on November 13, Kupyansk was stormed by two columns of Russian equipment – the enemy advanced from the village of Liman Pervy and entered Kupyansk, reaching the highway to Svatovo.
The city military administration informed that they managed to destroy the Russian landing force in the city, which that day broke through to the left bank of the city.
