Electricity consumption remains high in Ukraine.
The press service of Ukrenergo reported this today, November 14.
It is noted that:
- as of 6:30 today, consumption was 1.2% higher than at the same time the previous day – Wednesday, November 13;
- On November 13, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the morning. It was 2.4% lower than the previous working day – Tuesday, November 12. This is due to the application of power limitation measures for industry and business.
During the day, electricity will be imported from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova with a total volume of 3 thousand 39 MW•hour.
Due to difficult weather conditions – heavy precipitation with the accumulation of wet snow – 43 settlements in the Poltava region were without power in the morning. Forecasters predict heavy snowfalls by the end of the day in other regions of Ukraine.
During peak consumption hours in the morning and evening, there remains a significant power deficit in the energy system. Please use electricity sparingly throughout the day. Do not turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time from 7.00 to 22.00, Ukrenergo notes.
Ukrenergo also calls on businesses to more actively import electricity for their own needs in order to avoid forced power limitations.
Let us remind you that yesterday, November 13, restrictions on electricity consumption for business were introduced in Ukraine. The reason for this in Ukrenergo was indicated by “comments on the operation of shunting generation equipment.”
