Belarus to buy heavy flamethrowers Solntsepek from Russia

The Armed Forces of Belarus plans to purchase the TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system from Russia. This was announced on Wednesday, July 6, by the Telegram channel Belaruska So with reference to the information of the Belarusian Military-Political Review project.

It was noted that at present the TOS is not in service with the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. The Belarusian military has only reactive infantry flamethrowers RPO-A Shmel of Soviet production.

For the use of TOS in each operational command (the west, northwest and south formed), plans to assign an RHBZ battalion, one of the companies of each battalion is armed with three TOS-1A Solntsepek. Thus, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus will have to buy nine systems from Russia.

Also reported about plans to establish the Belarusian-Russian manufacture of heavy flamethrower system TOS-2 Tosochka. It plans to give nine systems to the flamethrower battalion in the 8th brigade of the RKhBZ (Starye Dorogi).

Earlier, the leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, said that a single group of Armed Forces had been created in the union of Belarus and Russia. Therefore, the participation of the Belarusian army in the war against Ukraine was determined long ago.
