Newly elected US President Donald Trump has decided on candidates for the positions of heads of the Pentagon and CIA.
In particular, the winner of the election decided to nominate Pete Hegseth as the new Secretary of Defense, and appointed John Ratcliffe as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Trump wrote about this on his social network Truth Social.
The new head of the Pentagon, 44-year-old Peter Brian Hegseth, is a US Army veteran and an officer in the National Guard. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton and a master’s degree from Harvard.
Sweat is tough, smart, and truly believes in the slogan “America First.” America’s enemies must be on alert – with Pete at the helm, our army will be large again, and America will never retreat, Trump emphasized.
And John Ratcliffe, who heads the CIA, was director of National Intelligence during Trump’s first presidency. He was the one who exposed the Clinton campaign’s “fake collusion with Russia” during the 2016 presidential race.
John Ratcliffe has always been a warrior for truth and honesty with the American public, the newly elected president emphasized.
Trump also announced that he had selected South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem as the new Secretary of the US Department of Homeland Security. The president-elect stressed that Noem has been “very strong on border security issues.”
Let us remind you that recently the newly elected President Donald Trump approved the candidacy of Elise Stefanik for the post of US Ambassador to the United Nations. He noted that she will “fight for the interests of the United States of America in this position.”
