Zelensky congratulated the ambassadors on the start of the diplomatic mission in Ukraine and expressed hope for strengthening cooperation between the countries.
President Vladimir Zelensky received the credentials from the ambassadors of the four countries that started their mission in Ukraine. The Office of the President reported this on November 12.
It was noted that the credentials were accepted from the newly appointed Ambassador of Greece Pantellis Alexandros Dimitrakopoulos, Albania – Ernal Philo, Japan – Masashi Nakagome and Egypt – Barakat Ali Elleithy.
Zelensky congratulated them on the start of their diplomatic mission in Ukraine and expressed hope for strengthening cooperation between the countries.
In a meeting with the Ambassador of Greece, the President noted the high level of bilateral relations and thanked for defense support. He spoke about the basic needs for military aid, especially in air defense systems, artillery and armored vehicles, and also noted that the practical implementation of Greece’s reconstruction projects is important.
In a conversation with the Ambassador of Albania, Zelensky mentioned the opening of the Albanian embassy in Ukraine, which is evidence of the dynamic development of bilateral relations. The head of state thanked the government and people of Albania for their continued support since the beginning of the Russian invasion. Separately, he mentioned that it is important to sign a bilateral security agreement as soon as possible.
During the meeting with the Ambassador of Japan, the President mentioned his country’s support for Ukraine and the development of the current bilateral cooperation, expressed readiness to further intensify the dialogue at all levels, and also discussed the current challenges for in Ukraine. Zelensky emphasized that it is important to strengthen cooperation with Japan in the field of security in the exchange of information and methods of joint response to North Korea’s military participation in the war against Ukraine.
In a conversation with the Ambassador of Egypt, the head of state noted that Ukraine is interested in the intensification of bilateral dialogue, the early resumption of trade and economic cooperation, as well as the implementation of specific projects in the field of food security. Zelensky also noted that it is important to involve Egypt in promoting the Peace Formula, especially in joining the General Communiqué.
We remind you that on October 25, the President accepted the credentials from the ambassadors of Finland, Brazil, Ireland, Montenegro, Lithuania and Iceland, who started their mission in Ukraine.
And in August, Zelensky accepted credentials from the ambassadors-designate of Mexico, Italy, Slovakia, the Netherlands, India and Belgium.
