The Spokesman of the Southern Defense Forces, Vladislav Voloshin, said that Russian troops may launch ground attacks in the south of the Zaporozhye region. This could happen within days, reports Sky News.
Voloshin said the attacks could create a new pressure point for the Ukrainian military, which is already lagging behind in the east. Although it is not yet clear whether this will be a large-scale offensive by the Russians or separate attacks.
“The attacks could start in the near future, we are not talking about weeks, we expect it to happen any day,” said the spokesman.
