European Union High Representative Josep Borrell said he started Monday morning in a bomb shelter in Kyiv due to a Russian missile attack.
Starting my day in Kyiv in cover as Russia launches another missile strike,” Borrell wrote.
Borrell noted that this has been the daily reality of the Ukrainian people since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
Let us recall that on the morning of November 11, the Russians carried out a psychological attack on Ukraine, driving 13 bombers from northern Russia into the Caspian Sea, but no actual missile launches occurred. Near Kyiv, the Defense Forces shot down up to ten suicide bombers.
On November 10, Borrell visited the village of Yagodnoye, where Russian occupiers were holding hundreds of civilians in the basement of a school.
In Yagodnoye, the Russian occupiers kept an entire village – 370 people – in the basement of a school for a month on (an area – ed.) 170 m2.
He added that “this event is a terrible reminder of what life looks like for ordinary Ukrainians under Russian occupation.”
Josep Borrell is in Ukraine on his final official visit in office.
The EU High Representative in Kyiv called for restrictions on strikes deep into Russia to be lifted. He said North Korean participation in the Russian offensive in Ukraine is a globalization of war.
