Brian Lanza was brought in as an adviser during the election campaign. He does not work for President Trump or speak on his behalf.
This was stated by a representative of Donald Trump’s transition administration in a comment to Reuters.
The transition administration is still selecting personnel and preparing policy positions for the period of Trump’s presidency.
Let us recall that earlier a senior adviser to the newly elected President Donald Trump, Republican Party strategist Brian Lanza said that the new administration will focus on achieving peace in Ukraine, and not on the return of occupied territories. The Trump administration, Lanza said, will ask Zelensky to provide his version of a “realistic vision of the world.”
In the next two months, many inside stories will appear in the media about various “peace plans” in relation to Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council Andrey Kovalenko.
He emphasizes that Russia, playing its own game, will be interested in some manipulations. Some media will chase hype.
It is very important for us to separate the work of journalists from the influence of Russian propagandists in these stories, who always manipulate such information drives. In any case, the media will, as a rule, have little truth and real state of affairs in these scenarios. But there are a lot of theories,” added Kovalenko.
Earlier, the British newspaper The Telegraph, citing the entourage of US President-elect Trump, published details of his alleged “peace plan”, which provides for European troops in the buffer between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
According to the outlet, Trump may call on European and British troops to provide an 800-mile (1,200-kilometer) buffer zone between the Russian and Ukrainian armies as part of a plan to freeze the war between the two countries. That is, along the entire length of the current line of combat.
As The Telegraph notes, the plan is one of several being considered by Trump, who before his election as US president said he would begin peace talks before taking office in January.
