Kirill Budanov awarded the centenary UPA liaison officer “Orisya” with the medal of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region.
Even at the age of 15, Angelina Palamar witnessed the crimes of the Russian occupiers: then the Enkavedists shot the girl’s father and brother right in the family yard. Yuna Angelina decided to join the ranks of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and became a liaison officer using the pseudo “Orisya”, reports the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
Soon, Angelina Palamar was captured by the Soviet secret services, and after lengthy interrogations and torture, the girl was sentenced to 10 years in the camps and five years in exile. But, despite such trials, “Orisya” did not break, did not betray her brothers and sisters, and remained faithful to the cause of the struggle for Ukrainian independence.
Representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region congratulated former UPA liaison officer Angelina Palamar on her 100th birthday. An appeal from Kirill Budanov was shown to Angelina Palamar and her family on a new TV donated by the intelligence officers.
