Ukraine returned the bodies of 563 killed defenders

    The bodies of more than 500 dead soldiers were returned to Ukraine.

    As a result of repatriation measures, it was possible to return the bodies of another 563 dead soldiers to the controlled territory.

    320 bodies of defenders who died in the Donetsk direction and 89 fallen soldiers from the Bakhmut direction were repatriated. In addition, 154 bodies were returned from morgues in Russia. The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported this on November 8 in Telegram.

    The repatriated bodies and remains will be transported to government facilities, where law enforcement and forensic experts will identify them. After this, the bodies of the heroes will be handed over to their families for a dignified burial.

    Let us remind you that on October 18, 501 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine. Based on the results of repatriation measures, it was possible to repatriate the bodies of half a thousand defenders who died in the Avdeevsky, Bakhmutsky, Maryinsky, Ugledarsky, Zaporozhye and Lugansk directions. In addition, one body was returned from a morgue in Russia.
