Vladimir Putin will no longer talk to outgoing US President Joe Biden, Dmitry Peskov said.
Contacts between Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump may take place before the US president-elect’s inauguration. Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov said this at a briefing on Thursday, November 7.
“He (Trump) has not ruled out saying he will call Putin before the inauguration.
Journalists asked Peskov whether the Putin administration or the Russian Foreign Ministry contacted the Trump campaign after the election. “No. Why do we have to get involved?” – said Peskov.
According to him, Putin is not planning a conversation with Joe Biden, as the outgoing president.
Also, Peskov, speaking about the potential possibility of a meeting between the leaders of the Russian Federation and the United States, emphasized that any meeting should be well prepared.
“Behind each meeting there is a lot of work at the expert level, but too early who will be with us in the Biden administration communication, they are not of an important nature, “- he said.
In addition, Peskov denied media reports that Putin and other representatives of the Russian elite apparently congratulated Trump “through personal contacts” on his election victory.
“Unreliable (information),” the Kremlin spokesman replied curtly.
Let’s remember that during the election campaign, Trump repeatedly promised to quickly end the war in Ukraine. He explained that he knows the leaders of Ukraine and the Russian Federation very well.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has already spoken to Trump and called it “good and productive.”
