The man, immersed in love on the Internet, went around Dergachi and photographed the bases of the Defense Forces.
A resident of the Kharkov region who, through a friend from a chat, provided the Russians with information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was convicted. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General on Wednesday, November 6.
Prosecutors proved that in May 2024, an unemployed resident of the city of Dergachi began communicating through a dating chat with a “journalist” who allegedly told the “whole truth” about the full-scale invasion of Russia in the Kharkov region.
However, the enemy agent started a “romantic conversation” with the man and asked for some “help,” that is, to move Ukrainian military locations and equipment to Dergachi.
The attacker, who fell in love with the Internet, walked around the city and secretly photographed the locations of the Defense Forces.
Law enforcement officers exposed the man in June 2024. He awaited sentencing while in custody.
The court found that the citizen was guilty of unauthorized dissemination of information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was sentenced to five years in prison.
We remind you that the SBU detained a Russian agent in the Donetsk region, who was delivering the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the Russians and expected the occupation of Kramatorsk.
