Ukrainian air defense forces repelled a drone attack at night.
On the night of November 6, the Russian army struck the Odessa region with two guided aircraft missiles Kh-59 and Kh-31P from the Black Sea. In addition, the occupiers launched 63 Shahed-type attack UAVs and unidentified drones across Ukraine. Launches were recorded from Russian Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Orel and Cape Chauda in the occupied Crimea. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Telegram.
Anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine fought against hostile targets.
As of 7.30, it was known that 38 enemy drones had been shot down in the Odessa, Nikolaev, Kyiv, Sumy, Kirovograd, Zhytomyr, Cherkassy, Chernihiv and Zaporozhye regions. Another 20 enemy UAVs were locally lost in different regions of Ukraine.
Let us recall that in August, September and October, Russia used 4.3 thousand “shaheds” and their analogues in Ukraine. The ZSI General Staff is convinced that the air defense forces managed to shoot down 3 thousand 63 hostile UAVs, which is 71% of the total. In addition, “location lost” markings appeared, that is, they disappeared from radar, probably due to electronic warfare countermeasures. During the specified period, there were 1 thousand 52 units of such drones, which is 24% of the total number.
