The first results of exit polls in the United States have appeared

The first results of voting in the main American states will be known soon. Meanwhile, the leading American media on Tuesday, November 5, reports the first data from the exit polls of the US elections.

As Reuters points out, according to a national exit poll from Edison Research, roughly three-quarters of voters (73% vs. 25%) in the US presidential election said that American democracy is under of threat.

A CNN exit poll found that about three-quarters of voters have a negative view of the current state of affairs in the United States. At the same time, voters generally remain optimistic – more than 6 in 10 say the United States’ best days are still ahead, and only about a third believe they are in the past.

When it comes to current US President Joe Biden’s job performance, about 4 in 10 voters say they approve of his job performance, but a majority say they disapprove.

Exit poll results will be reported only in states where one of the candidates has a clear victory.

Polling times vary from state to state. In addition, the United States has four time zones. So, the exit poll data is coming in gradually from each state.
