Germany will provide new humanitarian aid to Ukraine on the eve of winter.
The German government has increased emergency humanitarian aid by an additional €200 million for emergency winter support. Even front-line houses that have no heat can provide themselves with heat. Generators will also be provided to provide heat in winter. This was stated by German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock during her visit to Kyiv.
We support Ukrainians in further preparation for winter. To this end, we are once again increasing our emergency humanitarian assistance. This is an additional 200 million euros for emergency winter assistance,” she said.
Berbock also visited one of the Ukrainian power plants today, where she stated that the best defense is strengthening Ukrainian air defense. The diplomat recalled that Germany has already transferred three Patriot systems, nine Iris-T systems and two other systems to Ukraine.
Olejnica of the Foreign Ministry stressed that the German government will continue to provide Ukraine with support in this area and unite “our forces at the international level, especially through the air defense initiative.”
Let us recall that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that by the end of the year, Germany, with the support of Belgium, Denmark and Norway, will supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with another batch of military aid worth 1.4 billion euros. It will include: IRIS-T and Skynex air defense systems, Gepard self-propelled artillery systems, guided howitzers, armored vehicles, etc.
