When the shells fell, there were no explosions, as a result of which no people were killed and no damage.
Afghan rockets rained down on Uzbekistan territory. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
“On July 5, 2022, about 4:20 pm, five rocket projectiles, likely to fly from Afghan territory, were noted on the Uzbekistan border.
The ministry only noticed that little damage was caused to four private houses in the mahalla Majnuntol of the city of Termez, the fifth projectile was found on the football field. The discovered shells were neutralized by a sapper unit.
Currently, the competent authorities of Uzbekistan, including the Afghan side, are implementing the necessary measures to establish the causes of this incident.
It will be recalled that on July 1, mass protests began in Karakalpakstan due to the intention of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to amend the country’s Constitution, associated with the abolition of the republic’s sovereignty.
In response, Shavkat Mirziyoyev introduced, by his command, a state of emergency in the territory of Karakalpakstan until August 2.
