Medical centers located in combat zones will be reinforced by appropriately qualified personnel, explained Dmitry Likhovy.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, decided to strengthen the medical services at the front, but this does not mean that military doctors will be transferred to the infantry. Medical centers located in combat zones will be reinforced with appropriately qualified personnel so that doctors can more quickly provide care to the wounded. The Spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Likhovy spoke about this in a commentary on Radio Liberty.
The official stressed that for this purpose medical personnel from health institutions, that is, the hospitals of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are involved.
“I want to make an important clarification – doctors are involved only in medical positions, despite the fact that in the medical forces there are other military personnel not only in a medical profile the doctors will do those duty at the stabilization points of the brigades,” the spokesperson stressed.
The official explained that this will be done on a rotational basis – doctors will be sent on business trips. Strengthening of stabilization points with medical specialists occurs at the request of commanders of combat units.
“Again, the emphasis is not on military medics transferred to the infantry, as some military medics will continue to work in their immediate specialty, but on a business trip to the front line and then return to their primary duty .” explained Likhovoy.
We remind you that the stabilization medical centers of the units located in the areas of combat operations will be reinforced by professional medical personnel.
