A massive drone attack was carried out by Russia on Ukraine.
On the night of November 1, the invaders attacked with three Kh-59/69 guided missiles from the airspace of the occupied Kherson region. And from the Russian cities of Orel and Kursk, the enemy launched 48 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and drones of an unidentified type. In addition, Russian tactical aviation dropped KABs on the Kharkov region, Sumy region and Zaporozhye. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Telegram.
Anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the attack. Air defense operated in the Kirovograd, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnitsa, Zhitomir, Khmelnytsky, Sumy, Chernihiv, Odessa and Poltava regions.
The sky defenders managed to shoot down 31 drones. Another 15 Russian UAVs were lost. Three more drones flew towards the Belarusians. Also, the air defense managed to shoot down the KAR, and the rest did not reach their targets due to resistance from electronic warfare.
It is preliminary known that there were no casualties. However, debris from air targets damaged several civilian enterprises, apartment buildings and private houses in the Poltava, Cherkassy, Kyiv and Odessa regions.
Let us remind you that on October 31, Russian drones attacked Kyiv. All UAVs that threatened the capital were neutralized. However, falling debris led to a fire in the Podolsk region. Windows in two two-story residential buildings and one administrative building were also damaged.
