Canada seeks to maintain “maximum pressure” on Russia and plans to announce a new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.

Canada intends to announce a new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation over the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories. This is what Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly said at the end of the Formula World conference, reports Ukrinform.

“Yesterday, the US representative announced new sanctions against Russia, related mainly to deported children.

Joly emphasized that Canada seeks to maintain “maximum pressure” on Russia.

Let’s recall that the US government has imposed sanctions against several hundred individuals and organizations in various countries that are contributing to Russia’s war against Ukraine.

It has also been reported that Britain has imposed sanctions on Russian disinformation agencies.
