“Every day the world is afraid of famine until autumn and winter, not seen since the Great Patriotic War. There will be famine. And not just because the Ukrainian grain is not removed,” said Lukashenka.
He accused the West of imposing sanctions and threatened to “derail the next agricultural era.”
“You see the incompetence where the whole UN is trying to prevent an inevitable crisis. 50 countries in the world are critically dependent on them. So it’s just flowers. The crazy flywheel of sanctions on fertilizers, products petroleum, transportation logistics (freight, insurance) threaten to disrupt the next agricultural season and only bring down food markets, ”Lukashenka added.
Earlier, Lukashenka proposed the export of Ukrainian grain through Belarus. At the same time, he set a condition for the transit of Ukrainian grain in the form of opening ports for Belarusian goods.
