Flights to the south of Russia have been limited since February 24 after the start of the so -called “special operation” on the territory of Ukraine.
Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) has extended the ban on flights to the south of the country until July 12. The department’s press service reported this on Tuesday, July 5.
Flights to Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista airports are temporarily limited.
Russian airlines are recommended to arrange the transportation of passengers on alternative routes using the airports of Sochi, Volgograd, Mineralnye Vody, Stavropol and Moscow.
As you know, flights to the south of Russia have been limited since February 24 after the start of the so -called “special operation” on the territory of Ukraine. Initially, the proposal was valid until March 2, but then it was repeatedly extended by Rosavitsia.
Recall that on April 11, the European Commission blacklisted 21 Russian airlines, the largest of which were Aeroflot, Russia, Pobeda, UTair, S7. Since then, they have focused on domestic flights, using actually stolen chartered aircraft for it.
