In the Cherkasy region, a member of the All-Russian Military Commission was exposed, who, in exchange for a bribe, was supposed to help establish a diagnosis to postpone his service. This is reported by the press service of the Cherkasy regional prosecutor’s office.
Suspicion was revealed to a member of the military medical commission in one of the regional TCC and SP for extortion and receiving illegal benefits (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The doctor demanded a bribe from a local resident for establishing the appropriate diagnosis, who declared him fit for military service only in the rear units.
Currently, the suspect has been given a preventive measure in the form of 24-hour house arrest. The prosecutor’s office is preparing an appeal and requesting that the measure of detention be changed to detention.
The suspect faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for five to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years, with confiscation of property.
