Early parliamentary elections were held in Bulgaria. According to exit polls, the party’s pro-Western center-right coalition Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria And Union of Democratic Forces (GERB – SDS) is the leader. This was announced on Sunday, October 27, by the Europe Elects analytical center.
It indicates that the leading bloc got 26.4% of the votes.
The second place is occupied by the liberal-conservative party alliance. Let’s continue the changes and coalitions Democratic Bulgaria (PP – DB), which received 13.8% of the votes. In third place is the pro-Russian party Renaissancewhich received the support of 13% of voters.
In total, seven political associations are joining the new National Assembly.
To form a government, the GERB-SDS bloc must create a coalition. PO-DB was called its most likely partner.
The head of GERB and former Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Boyko Borisov, said that the party had won a huge victory and ruled out the possibility of a coalition with Renaissance.
According to official data, more than 6.6 million Bulgarian citizens have the right to vote.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who opposes the government, called the results of the country’s parliamentary elections “completely fake,” announced a special Russian operation and called on people to protest on Monday, October 28.
Also, opposition Georgian political forces have already announced that they do not recognize the results of the country’s elections and have announced protests.
