The IDF launched a second wave of strikes against Iran. Tehran threatens a “proportionate reaction” to Israel’s actions.
During the strikes on Iran on the night of Saturday, October 26, the Israel Defense Forces attacked dozens of strategic military installations in Iran, including missile and drone factories, as well as missile launch bases , Israel’s Channel 12 reported.
A second wave of strikes is currently underway. Videos posted on social media by Tehran residents showed explosions in the sky and tracer fire rising from the city at dawn.
The Washington Post, citing a source with knowledge of Israeli military planning, reports that the strikes on Iran will continue for some time.
The Jerusalem Post says Iran failed to intercept an Israeli missile. At the same time, the Iranian semi-official Tasnim news agency reports that air defense systems shot down several missiles near Tehran.
Also, Iran has already said it is ready to respond to any “aggression” by Israel, Tasnim reports, citing sources.
“There is no doubt that Israel will face a proportionate response to any actions,” Tasnim wrote.
Israel previously said it was carrying out targeted strikes on Iranian military targets in response to months of continued attacks. Neither the country’s nuclear or oil facilities are attacked.
Let’s remember that the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu announced that it was planned to strike the military targets of Iran, and not the nuclear or oil facilities.
