Emmanuel Macron will chair the Council of Ministers later this Monday

The last of the “Covered 1” government… Or the first of the “Covered 2” government. Returning to Paris on Friday after several international summits abroad – European, G7, NATO and then the UN – Emmanuel Macron will chair the Council of Ministers at the Elysée at the end of the day on Monday. The call was received by the team leaving this Sunday.

The meeting regarding the healthcare bill, as well as several decisions, including the Penal Code, takes place at a time when the president and the prime minister of the republic have to carry out reshuffles. A major role change forced by the slap in the face in the legislative elections two weeks ago.

While they were exchanged over the weekend, the two chief executives have not yet indicated when this personnel review will take place. At this stage, only Elizabeth Bourne’s general policy speech is on the official agenda. Scheduled for this Wednesday, July 6, it will first take place in the National Assembly in the afternoon and then in the Senate in the evening.
