An independent assessment was obtained of 136 seized paintings belonging to former people’s representative Viktor Medvedchuk. This was reported by the Assets Tracing and Management Agency (ARMA).

According to experts from the National Art Museum of Ukraine, these paintings have no cultural or historical value, so they can be sold at auction. The national agency plans to divide each painting into a separate lot.
As you know, experts from the National Art Museum of Ukraine examined a total of 285 paintings. Of these, 149 paintings are recognized as having cultural and historical value. These 149 paintings should be transferred to Ukrainian museums, but bill No. 11280-1 regarding the details of the management of cultural property and other properties did not receive a sufficient number of votes among the people’s representatives.
