Tremors with a magnitude of 3.1 were recorded at approximately 18:08 on October 23 in the area of the village of Lomachintsy. The epicenter of the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 3 km. The Main Center for Special Control reported this on Facebook.
The source of the earthquake is located in the area of the village of Lomachyntsi, Dniester region, Chernivtsi region, the report says.
The department noted that such earthquakes are considered weak. The tremors may be felt by a few people indoors. And in the open air it is felt only under favorable conditions. The force of the tremors yesterday was similar to that caused by a light truck.
Experts also recalled that the last earthquake from this area was on November 23, 2023 and had a magnitude of 2.0.
