The North Korean military will be in the Kursk region tomorrow. Their number and equipment will be known in a few days.
The first North Korean soldiers will arrive in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation to take part in the war against Ukraine on Wednesday, October 23. This was said by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (GUR), Kirill Budanov, reports The War Zone.
“We are waiting for the first units tomorrow in the direction of Kursk,” said Budanov.
According to him, how many North Korean troops there will be and how they will be equipped is still unknown. “We’ll see in a few days,” added the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
At the same time, it was noted that the tension in South Korea over the movement of North Korean troops in Russia is growing. Seoul is considering sending its military and heavy weapons to Ukraine in response to the deployment of more than 12,000 North Korean soldiers, including elite special operations units, to Russia.
Previously, President Vladimir Zelensky said that there was information about the preparation of two military units from North Korea to participate in the war on the side of the Russian Federation, perhaps even two brigades of 6 thousand people each.
Meanwhile, the DPRK called sending troops to war in Ukraine “baseless rumours.”
