Matilda Campbell spent seven hours trapped in rocks trying to reach her phone before rescuers freed her.
An Australian woman was rescued after she was stuck between rocks for seven hours, pinned downwards. The Guardian reported this.
Matilda Campbell fell three meters while trying to retrieve her phone, which she accidentally dropped earlier. The stones, weighing half a ton, caught him in the Lagoon in New South Wales.
At first, friends tried to pull Matilda on their own, but later they called rescuers. Experts used a winch to move the 500kg stone and free the woman through a narrow opening.
Rescuer Peter Watts said it was one of the most difficult tasks of his 10 years on the job.
Matilda escaped with scrapes and bruises, but her phone was never found.
Campbell wrote on social media: “It’s safe to say I’m the most accident-prone person. I’m fine, I just have a few injuries that are healing and I won’t be climbing for a while!” – said the message. He also thanked his friends and team for saving him.
It was previously reported that a resident of the Australian state of New South Wales organized a river rafting in a huge pumpkin.
