The President of Serbia will not attend the BRICS summit. Vučić said his schedule did not allow it.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will not participate in the BRICS summit, which will take place on October 22-24 in Kazan, Russia. He said this in an interview on Serbian radio and television.
On October 23, the Serbian President is scheduled to meet with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. He will also be visited by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and then by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
At the same time, Vucic said that even if there are no visits these days, “it is very difficult for him to go because of the various things that Putin is known for.”
“I told him that even without it it would be difficult, but we will send a delegation of four of our ministers,” said the Serbian leader.
Let’s recall that the previous President of Brazil, Lula da Silva, canceled his trip to the BRICS summit in Russia due to a neck injury.
At the same time, Chinese leaders in India Xi Jinping and Narendra Modi will visit Kazan on October 22-24 to participate in the BRICS leaders’ summit.
