The Victory Plan consists of five main points and three secret applications. One of the most important elements of the plan is the proposal to quickly invite Ukraine to NATO.
Warsaw wants to recognize the non-public annexes to the Ukraine Victory Plan, recently presented by the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky. This was said on Monday, October 21, by Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister Wladyslaw Teofil Bartoszewski in an interview with RAR.
He recalled the words of Zelensky, who said that “the secret annexes to the Victory Plan were presented only to those countries that now help Ukraine in the defense sector.”
Bartoshevsky said he was surprised by this interpretation of the Ukrainian leader. He noted that Poland helped Ukraine at the beginning of a full-scale Russian invasion, because “when Germany talked about sending helmets, Poland gave 320 tanks.”
“In this regard, of course, our contribution is significant, especially at the very beginning, when it is most needed,” Bartoshevsky emphasized.
According to the deputy minister, Poland “certainly should have access to this type of documents.” He also said that he does not see the possibility of restoring Ukraine without the participation of Poland.
“We will talk about it, the Polish Foreign Ministry will certainly talk about it on the Ukrainian side, because we maintain constant contact,” added the deputy head of the Polish Foreign Ministry.
The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky publicly presented the Victory Plan. It consists of several points: the first is geopolitical, consisting of the immediate invitation of Ukraine to NATO, the next two are military, the fourth is economic and the fifth is security. The first four were assigned for the duration of the war to end it, and the fifth for the post-war period. According to Zelensky, if the Plan is implemented, the war can be ended no later than next year – 2025.
The day before it became known that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz rejected the main points of the Victory Plan.
The United States is still discussing the details of the Victory Plan, but it already generally supports the initiative.
