South Korea’s National Intelligence Service said its northern neighbor had already deployed 1,500 special forces to Vladivostok.
A South Korean satellite recorded the movement of North Korean troops on Russian territory: there are currently 1,500 special forces soldiers in Vladivostok. This was reported by Yonhap News Agency, citing local intelligence sources.
South Korea’s National Intelligence Service reported that North Korea has decided to send about 12,000 troops to Russia to support its war against Ukraine and has already deployed 1,500 special forces to Vladivostok.
The image was likely taken by a satellite equipped with a synthetic aperture radar (SAR), which can collect data regardless of weather conditions using remote sensing systems, the media suggested.
South Korea operates several satellites equipped with search and rescue capabilities, including a military reconnaissance satellite, although images taken by military satellites are usually not included in government press releases because they classified as military secrets.
South Korea closely monitors North Korea’s movements from government- and military-controlled satellites as military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang grows and deepens.

We remind you that the media previously said that the North Korean authorities sent their special unit, the DPRK Special Operations Forces, to Russia for the war against Ukraine.
As you know, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, speaking in Brussels, announced 10 thousand military personnel from the DPRK who may be involved in the war.
The head of GUR Budanov says that about 11 thousand North Korean infantrymen are now undergoing combat training in eastern Russia and will be sent to combat positions on November 1.
