Bulgarian authorities have accused Russia of bribing famous figures

The special services of the Russian Federation pay money to Bulgarian public figures, journalists and politicians for spreading Russian propaganda in the country.

Russia pays public figures, journalists and politicians in Bulgaria approximately 2,000 euros per month for spreading Russian propaganda in the country. This was stated by the representative of the Bulgarian government Lena Borislavova, Euractiv reports on Monday, July 4.

“To all who salivate in the EU and NATO for free, and also support Putin’s actions in Ukraine, you should know that you are discouraged. Those who inspire you to do so are paid. Every month,” he said. Boryslavova.

According to him, the special services of Bulgaria have information that the Russian authorities pay Bulgarian public figures, journalists and politicians approximately 2,000 euros per month for the dissemination of Russian propaganda in the country.

He noted that some public speakers are accustomed to deceiving the public and playing on delusions and fears.

It will be recalled that on June 28, Bulgaria decided to expel 70 employees of the Russian embassy from the country. They worked for the secret services.

In response, Russia threatened to sever diplomatic relations with Bulgaria. Moscow demanded that Sofia cancel the decision to declare dozens of diplomats persona non grata. But Bulgaria still expelled the Russians.
