Netanyahu and his wife Sarah were not home at the time of the attack, and no one was injured in the incident.
Several drones were launched into Israel on the morning of October 19 from Lebanon. One of them targeted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in the coastal city of Caesarea. The Times of Israel reports this.
Netanyahu’s office confirmed that the prime minister’s private residence in Caesarea was the target of a drone attack from Lebanon. It was noted that Netanyahu and his wife Sarah were not at home at the time of the attack, and that no one was injured as a result of the incident.
Local residents reported hearing loud explosions.
Two more drones launched from Lebanon were reportedly shot down by air defenses, setting off sirens in the Tel Aviv area.
According to Ynet, rockets were also fired from Lebanon targeting Tiberias, Galilee, Haifa and nearby areas, one of which hit a residential area, injuring two people.
Let’s remember that on October 1, the Israeli army announced the start of a ground operation in southern Lebanon.
Earlier, the head of the IDF Northern Command, Major General Ori Gordin, and the head of the Operations Directorate of the General Staff, Major General Oded Basyuk, approved plans for an attack on Lebanese territory.
