The Krakow District Court has started the trial of two Russians who were hired by the Russian Wagner group to post leaflets in the city calling on people to join this private military company. RMF24 reported this on Wednesday, October 16.
The men are accused of acting as a foreign intelligence agency and participating in an international armed association for the purpose of committing terrorist crimes.
Both Russians participated in the process of recruiting new members to the Wagner PMC, and also distributed stickers with a QR code to facilitate joining the organization. Detainees operated in Poland – in Krakow and Warsaw, as well as in other EU countries, particularly in Berlin and Paris.
“We took the leaflets of the Wagner group in Moscow We were supposed to put 3,000 leaflets in Krakow and Warsaw, but we only put 200. I just want to make money,” said one of the Russians in the courtroom.
Let’s recall that the court in Uzbekistan previously sentenced a 26-year-old man to two years and six months of forced labor in a case of recruitment for participation in the war against Ukraine in the ranks of the Wagner PMC.
