Law enforcement officials exposed corruption in a medical institution in the Khmelnitsky region.
Doctors have developed a scheme for illegal earnings. The paramedic organized the search and selection of citizens who intended to receive a disability group. And the doctor registered “clients” for inpatient treatment in the neurological department and, without actually staying in hospital, prepared medical documents, which later became the basis for granting such persons disability groups. This was reported to the regional prosecutor’s office.
For their services, doctors received from $3,600 to $7,800. bribes
And during the searches, law enforcement officers seized more than 182 thousand dollars. and more than 6 thousand 500 euros, which is equivalent to almost 8 million UAH. Draft notes, medical records and cell phones were also found.
Investigators reported suspicions to a neurologist and an emergency medical assistant of abuse of influence – Part 3 of Art. 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
One of the suspects has already been chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail. The petition regarding the other defendant is still pending in court.
Let us remind you that in the Transcarpathian region they exposed a battalion commander who left military personnel to serve in the rear for bribes. The military paid $1,300 for his inclusion in the list of “rear personnel.”
