The Speaker of the House of Representatives has traditionally said that Trump, if he wins, will be able to “end the conflict” in Ukraine.
The Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, said in an interview with Punchbowl news that he is “in no mood” for continued support for Ukraine.
“I have no appetite for additional funding of Ukraine, and I hope that there will be no need for it. If President Trump wins, I believe that he will really end this conflict. I absolutely will. I think he will call Putin and would say, That’s enough,” Johnson said.
The Republican says “everyone around the world is fed up” with the war in Ukraine and wants it resolved.
“I’m not sure, but I think if Kamala Harris becomes president, I don’t think it’s going to end, and it’s a desperate and dangerous scenario,” Johnson said.
Let’s recall that Mike Johnson recently addressed a statement to President Vladimir Zelensky, in which he demanded the immediate expulsion of Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova for “interference” in the American elections.
