Restrictions have been imposed on large parts of the shadow tanker fleet and illegal operators that transport Iranian regime oil for export.
The US Treasury Department has expanded sanctions against Iran’s oil and petrochemical sectors over Tehran’s widespread missile attacks against Israel. This was announced on Friday, October 11, by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department.
It noted that restrictions have been imposed against ten organizations in several jurisdictions. In addition, sanctions were imposed on 17 vessels for their participation in the operations of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), on which the United States had previously imposed restrictions.
In addition, the US State Department imposed restrictions on six organizations and six vessels. The reason is deliberate participation in transactions for the purchase, sale and transportation of oil and petroleum products from Iran.
It noted that the restrictions are aimed at a large number of shadow tanker fleets and illegal operators that transport Iranian regime oil for export.
As we have already written, on October 1, Iran fired 180 ballistic missiles at Israel. Iran claims that 90% of the missiles successfully hit their targets. At the same time, according to the IDF, most of them were intercepted by air defense forces. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised a response to Iran.
