In June 2024, NAPC stopped funding the party due to misinformation in reports of nearly 5 million hryvnias.
The Administrative Court of Cassation issued a decision confirming the legality of the NAPC’s decision regarding the termination of state funding of the Golos political party. This was reported by the press service of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption on Friday, October 11.
The court confirmed the legality of NAPC’s decision to end state funding of the Golos party. The decision is final and not subject to appeal. This means that the political party will no longer receive government funding in this convocation.
In June 2024, NAPC stopped funding the Golos party due to inaccurate information in reports of almost 5 million hryvnias. In particular, several major violations were discovered in the party’s property, income and financial liability reports for the third and fourth quarters of 2020.
In two quarterly reports for 2020, the Golos party included false information in the report totaling 4 million 726 thousand 500 Hryvnias. This is the basis for stopping state funding of the party’s legal activities.
According to the law on political parties, a repeated violation, which consists of submitting to the NAPC a report containing false information about the expenses of a political party in the amount of more than 20 times the minimum wage (since 01/01/2020 – 94,460 hryvnia ), are grounds for making a decision on the termination of state funding of the party.
By the end of this year, the political party should have received more than UAH 57 million (more than two quarters).
We remind you that “errors” worth 1.8 billion hryvnias were found in the declarations submitted by officials.
