Ukraine wants the war with Russia to end no later than 2025. At the same time, Russian aggression must not be repeated. President Vladimir Zelensky said this at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin on Friday, September 11.
He said that today he will present the Victory Plan to the leader of Germany.
“I want no later than next year, 2025. And to protect from a repetition of aggression This plan is a kind of bridge to holding a productive Peace Summit, which can really stop the war,” said Zelensky.
The President stressed that the Victory Plan is not a substitute for Ukraine’s peace initiative, it only strengthens Ukraine’s position to come closer to peace.
“We can do this with all our partners: we also count on Germany’s support,” Zelensky added.
Let’s remember that two days ago the president said that in the coming months there will be a real opportunity to move the situation towards peace in Ukraine. Zelensky believes that the situation on the battlefield is in its favor.
Meanwhile, Russia does not want to participate in the second Peace Summit. The Russian Foreign Ministry accuses Ukraine and the international community of planning to “present Russia with an ultimatum of surrender.”
