The adopted bill provides for a ban on the mobilization of men under the age of 25 who have limited fitness for military service.
The Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill that generally prohibits the mobilization of men aged 18 to 25 years. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced this on Telegram on Wednesday, October 9.
“The Rada approved in general No. 11379d – it provides exemption from the mobilization of Ukrainians under the age of 25. For – 311,” he wrote.
As you know, in early September the Verkhovna Rada supported the first reading of a bill that would ban the mobilization of men under the age of 25 with limited suitability for military service.
Previously, this category of citizens could be mobilized, although conscription for military service in Ukraine was usually allowed only upon reaching the age of 25, except in some cases.
Also in August, the Verkhovna Rada voted for a postponement from mobilization for Ukrainian brothers who died at the front or disappeared.
